The GID Series Specialty Disc is specifically designed for applications where narrow, heavy discing is needed. It is ideal for vineyards and fruit orchards from apples to blueberries. The gangs are all independently adjustable for complete control when deep plowing to bury vegetation or light tilling to smooth and create a good seed bed for cover crop germination. Gangs can also be set to push or pull dirt as needed when discing after hoe plowing. The heavy duty cut buries and compresses cover crops to create a biomass that is beneficial to a well balanced vineyard. Orchard operators will be pleased with the ease of tilling around trees.
Built with a heavy 6” x 4” square tube drawbar and 4” square tube frame. Axles are 1 1/2” square high strength steel to withstand tough rocky soil found in many vineyard and orchard operations. Triple sealed ball bearings. The four gangs are independently adjustable to control amount and direction of soil distribution. Each gangs width from the center can be adjusted independently.
